Theodore Alexander Origins Square Cocktail Table- ta51209-c360
Handcrafted in birdseye maple and finished in Sesame, this square cocktail table recalls the modern romance of Art Deco. The birdseye figure gives the 48 inch top a tight, swirling grain that shifts as you move around it, and metal detailing in Starlight traces the frame with just enough brightness to read as jewelry against the wood. Sesame is the lighter of the two finish options, a warm sandy tone that keeps the piece open and airy where the Landmark version goes darker and more dramatic.
Origins comes from Paul Maitland-Smith's sketches, reworked around Art Deco and Streamline Moderne: long low profiles, minimal ornamentation, and stretched forms that suggest movement. At 48 inches square and only 17 inches high, this table follows that logic exactly. The square footprint suits a sectional or a symmetrical four seat arrangement where a rectangle would push the room in one direction, and at that scale it needs a generous seating group around it. It coordinates with the Origins rectangular cocktail table, round cocktail table, console tables, and side tables.
