Lido is a modern view of transitional luxe. Simplistic forms and clean architectural lines, influenced by the work of George Hepplewhite, are paired with reeded carvings as a nod to the French Provincial aesthetic. That combination is what gives the collection its range: the proportions are contemporary, but the reeding gives it enough historical texture to sit in a traditional room without looking out of place.

This side table is built from figured Prima Vera and beech in the dark Bistre finish, a deep smoky brown that lets the reeded detail read as shadow, and it is topped with a honed Crema Marfil marble slab. The cream stone against the dark wood is the whole contrast, and honed rather than polished means it reads soft and matte instead of glossy. At roughly 25 3/4 by 23 3/4 inches and 24 inches tall it is generously sized for a side table, so it works beside a deep sofa or between two chairs where you actually need surface.
