The Wilkes Queen Bed is a custom piece that pairs Charleston Forge's hand-forged Charcoal steel frame with fabric-upholstered panels for a bed that is both structurally strong and visually inviting. At 65" wide and 48" tall, the headboard has a moderate height that works across a range of ceiling heights and bedroom scales. The steel frame is built by hand in Boone, NC, by skilled forgers and welders who treat each component individually. The fabric upholstery adds warmth without overwhelming the clean lines of the steel frame. The Wilkes collection brings an industrial-meets-residential sensibility to bedroom furniture, and this bed is a well-balanced example.
